I need more pigment!!

Today, I was struggling to paint; I couldn’t get the right color. So I painted a different color over the first painting. But it didn’t work well because watercolor has less pigment.

Then I thought…this is what I was doing for my cheeks!

I have red cheeks caused by broken blood vessels. To conceal the redness, I need a full-coverage concealer and foundation.

However, older women shouldn’t put on too much makeup, especially foundation; it makes them look much older. For this reason, I always get light coverage foundation. BUT, “light” means less pigment, like watercolor.

Powder Foundation

I have a bareMinerals Original Loose Powder Foundation in my cosmetics drawer. Sometimes I use it, but most of the time, I use liquid foundation with some skincare ingredients, which I bought in Japan; the cost was more than $100. It doesn’t cover redness but feels better with the ingredients.

As you may have experienced, both cream and liquid foundations drop into pores easily. If you are young, that is not happening, but if you are not, each pore is large (almost oval-shaped), and pores become visible after putting on foundation. You need a good primer!

Anyway, I haven’t used the bareMinerals Original Loose Powder Foundation for a while. So I put it on… Then, I was surprised that it covers redness nicely! I forgot how good this product is. Because bareMinerals Original Loose Powder Foundation is in powder form, it will cover airy and evenly on the skin. No dropping too much foundation into pores. I definitely recommend this product if you are struggling to find full coverage but not heavy foundation.

改めてベアミネラルオリジナルルースファンデーションの良さに驚いた。

今日は絵を描きながら色の乗せ方に苦労した。どうも納得いかない。最初の色の上に更に他の色を乗せてみたが上手くいかない。なぜならウォーターカラーはその名の通り顔料が少なく、透明に近いから重ね塗りはあまり成功しない。

そこでふと筆を止め、まさにそれが私のファンデーション選びにも影響していると考えた。

顔料。これが足りない。

私は毛細血管が頬に浮き出ていて、常にほっぺが赤い状態。これを隠したくてコンシーラーや下地を丹念に仕込み、薄づきのファンデーションを上から乗せる。。。それでも赤い。

カバー力のあるファンデーションやコンシーラーで赤みを隠すと、どうものっぺりした仕上がりになる。

また、クリームやリキッドファンデーションはしっかりベースを作らないと毛穴に落ちてしまい、余計に毛穴が目立つ事に。。。ベースの仕込みにお金と時間を掛ける割には問題の赤みは殆どカバーしない。

顔料が多く、且つ薄づきのファンデーションはないものか。。。と考えていたところ、ずいぶん前に買ったベアミネラルファンデーションがまだある事に気がつき、試しにさっと塗ってみると。。。これが良い感じで赤みをカバーしてくれる。しかも毛穴落ちしない！

ベアミネラルファンデーションと言えば、ミネラルファンデーションの先駆けで、パウダーなのに乾燥せずしっとり仕上がり、塗ったまま寝ても肌荒れしない。。。販売当時（90年代）はそのように宣伝していたのを覚えてる。確かに、その通りかもしれない。パウダーだけど、粉っぽさは無く、薄づきなのにしっかりカバーしてくれて、エアリーな仕上がりになる。こんないい物を持っていたのに忘れていたとはっ。

もしファンデーション選びで苦労されているのであれば、ベアミネラルオリジナルルースパウダーファンデーションはお勧めです。
